35th Anniversary of Gracie Awards
Gracies Venue Moved to the Beverly Hills Hilton May 25, 2010
After more than three decades in New York, the Gracies
will be delivering its message of empowerment to a Los Angeles audience when the Gracie
Awards go Hollywood. In celebration of its 35th Anniversary, the Gracies Gala will take
place on May 25, 2010 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at 9876 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
AWRT President Maria E. Brennan, CAE, declared, "While we are still buzzing from the excitement of the Gracie Awards ceremony that took place last week, we are already thinking about bringing our signature event to the west coast for the first time. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months."
The Gracies are presented by the Foundation of AWRT, the philanthropic arm of AWRT that supports educational programs, charitable activities, public service campaigns and scholarships to benefit the public, the electronic media and allied fields. The Gracie Awards, established in 1975, honors programming and individuals of the highest caliber in all facets of radio, television, cable and web-based media, including news, drama, comedy, commercials, public service, documentary and sports.
